Baptism is a celebration of life, a welcoming into the church and a dedication of ourselves and our children to God’s care as we commit ourselves to the ministry of Jesus Christ in the church. Baptism is one of the two sacraments in the United Church, the other being Communion. In our church, Baptism takes place during our morning worship. Baptism is offered to all those who are willing to make the vows of Baptism in good faith. These vows include a profession of our faith, a commitment to help each other to grow in faith and a promise to be involved in the life and ministry of the church.
